CELEBRATING 30 YEARS OF FAMILY BUSINESS SUCCESS

THE EVOLUTION OF THE i247 GROUP

We began our adventure in 1990 forming The Fleet Tyre Management (FTM) a network of 832 independent tyre centres across the UK – the first of its kind. The 90’s saw the introduction of a number of other ventures into the Automotive market place which were all later acquired.

In 2001, on behalf of Vauxhall we set up Fit4Fleet at Sherwood House (where we are located now). In 2004 the opportunity was presented to purchase Fit4Fleet from Vauxhall. We agreed and went ahead on embarking a stabilisation strategy which led to the introduction of Interface247 (i247 Group).

By July 2006 we were full steam ahead… i247 group here we come! This is where my daughter Kate first supported by managing the introduction of Nationwide Windscreen Services.

In the years ahead the family involvement grew. We launched several new solutions to incorporate new services into the Automotive market place. Kate, Ellie & Sam were all pivotal in the success of these projects.

In recent years the family involvement has grown further with Kate, Ellie & Sam all taking senior management positions within the business and driving it forward. The success of which has seen our team grow from 50 to over 130 people.

CUSTOMER TESTIMONIALS

"I just wanted to make comment on my recent personal experience with our tyre line.  Whilst up in Inverness on Wednesday, I had a warning to inflate one of my tyres.  This was fine until yesterday morning and again a warning, but somewhat worse.

I called the booking line and the person I spoke to was truly professional, helpful and polite.  He called me back to say they could not source me a tyre in Stirling and it would be Tuesday before I could get one.  As I am travelling to and from Preston tomorrow (Monday), I said I was unhappy to wait until then.  He kindly phoned around all of the central belt (after confirming that I would be happy to travel), and sourced me one in Glasgow, called me back and booked me in.  I am going to go and get it fitted this afternoon.

Nothing was too much trouble for him.  I know we are pretty hard on our suppliers when they get it wrong, so I wanted to pass on how great it is when we get it right!"
